And I try again...

Hello again, blog world... After multiple failed attempts at maintaining a blog, the prodigal daughter returns to battle again. Speaking of which, The Prodigal Daughter by Jeffrey Archer is one of my favorite books... I'm yet to start re-reading it for the umpteenth time. Its pretty inspiring and I'm in desperate need of some inspiration right now. I'm at a stage in my life where I need someone or something to tell me "You go, girl!" "Go with the flow, do what you want".. 

Gah! To top it all is the fact that I'm horrible at Math... I'm on a quest to discover the Fountain of Mathematical Excellence. I wish it existed. I'm sure it would be easier to find than me suddenly developing a genius for solving problems. 

I just read the post again and I'm wondering what I'm doing here. But then again, I'm taking the Horrible vow to persevere until the blog world itself decides to kick me off it. (My mind’s going "Yeah, right! Like you’re gonna write enough for that to happen!") "Begone, ye of no faith!" I tell the skeptic. "Get out of my head!"

Ack! The pressure! :( IT's turning my brain to mush!!! No, no... IT's not the clown-like, spider-like, figment of Stephen King's imagination alien. IT's the never-ending wait!!! The wait for my admission results. I thought the application process itself was the biggest ordeal... Never did I guess IT was going to rear it ugly head, point a finger at me and say "You Wish!!! Muahahahaha" P.S. Happy New Year, folks! Bah, Humbug! :(

So... This isn't a post about cricket. It's been six months today since I started playing a game called softball. In an effort to branch out and meet new people (also because I hadn't gotten much cricket in), I found a Meetup group for a softball league that was having tryouts. No experience required. Jackpot! So there I was, at the field on Feb 8th, without even a glove (nervous as heck, because yikes new people!). Met someone who looked like they were headed to the same thing as I was, "Hey, is this where the softball tryouts are?" "Yes, I think so." (Six months later, I'm proud to called this amazing person one of my best friends) So softball, as I learnt, is not cricket. The mechanics are different; almost opposite in some cases. I had to learn how to rewire my brain. There were bloopers galore, like running the bases with my bat; "Drop the bat!!!", the coaches yelled.
